Why do we always refer media to the 11×8 inch white paper with 1 inch margins? Well not all of us do anymore. When I listened to I imagined a few friends of mine. They promised me how they’d never smoke, and then find out they smoke. Then that wasn’t a good enough buzz and would go on to harder things. I think if you smoke pot for so long it won’t do anything for you after a while. But if you moderate it like alcohol you may still be able to function correctly and realize its not a problem. As long as you just stick to that, then it’s no problem. Just don’t do it everyday either. You need to have time to feel the reality and let loose every once in a while to enjoy reality. Like the pod cast is trying to say, don’t keep heading down the wrong path!

so it took me forver to figure out how to post those gender based pictures on here. They have a little twist to them so enjoy.

New anti-bias campaign in Vienna was launched so well-known signs in public places have been altered to make people rethink gender-based stereotypes.

Picture one: thus transport signs have also changed sex – a man and a child, instead of traditional mother and a child, can be now viewed in buses

Picture two: changing facilities have been given a new looking. Now an image of a man changing his baby has appeared.

1. Wysocki says that visual rhetoric is at work when persuasion includes visual strategies. Explain how

paying attention to visual strategies helps us “learn about and perhaps make changes in other values at

work in our culture” (186).

Answer: Rhetoric is sometimes used in writing or speech, which produces exaggeration. When using

visual rhetoric its harder to notice but when recognized its impact in culture is larger than realized.

“Analyzing and experimenting with visual rhetoric of our texts can help us perhaps develop new thinking

and relationships that might help us better achieve our ends” (186).

2. Give your own example of such “paying attention.”

Answer: When driving down the high ways you see countless rhetoric visual, they’re known as billboard

advertisements. You only remember seeing the ones that are the most bombast.

3. Choose several visual strategies from your own weblog, and explore the question posed by Wysocki (195):

How would your text be different if it where changed? (Remember, in this context “text” refers to all

aspects of the document, not just the words.)

Answer: My weblog would be very different if it were changed. A more exuberant and dazed mood

would be brought up if I had a birght flashy background, instead of the dark swirling calmness

background that I chose.

Kairos

1.) Kairos means to me that you do certain things at certain situations, and specific situations call for specific measure and reactions

2.) It is important to consider kairos when you’re making an argument because you have to state the right things at the right time

3.) 1. Yes, because the we will be voting for a new president this coming year
2. Taxes are for republicans
war is for democrats
3. Inappropriate things would be like “Say yes to legalize prostitution”
4. It would be about the draft because there are many young healthy males elligable
5. The bosses have power and the employees follow it
6. Rallies are more democratic while conferences are republican
7. Democrats do, why because there are more and they are more out going about everything
